New Books for Lent in Saint John’s Gift Shop

40 Days: The Daily Office for Lent For anyone interested in learning how to recite the official daily prayer of The Episcopal Church, this new publication contains everything a person needs to say Morning and Evening Prayer for the entire Season of Lent, including all the biblical readings, as well as the forms for Midday Prayer and Compline (night-time prayer). It is in paperback and sells for $18.00.

Five for Sorrow, Ten For Joy by J. Neville Ward This is a classic work by an English Methodist cleric. Now available in reprint, it provides stimulating and imaginative meditations on the fifteen mysteries of the rosary. The Rector highly recommends it. Price: $14.00.
